Anyone tuning in to Axel Moody’s Moody Sessions show on Sunday evenings will have noticed that his style has branched out from future garage/bass house to a more eclectic mix of funk and nu soul and, as such, we are giving him a new Saturday slot (5pm) and a new show name, Moody Grooves. Mixpat will take Axel’s Sunday night slot. For full detail you can check out our timetable.
We’ve increased our broadcast streaming rate from 64 to 128 kbps. What the hell is this we hear you ask? Basically, we’ve doubled the quality of our audio streaming. 128 kilobytes is the average bit rate of MP3s on iTunes and, indeed, is the required bit rate for listing in iTunes Radio, which is one of our objectives in the increase, but mostly it’s about providing you with a better listening experience!
