Calling Your Name EP

The latest East Recordings EP, Calling Your Name, by the Berlin-Ibiza-Rome trio Thallulah, William Medagli & Jose Maria Ramon is gathering huge support. Both the lead track and the Rodrigo Ferrari Remix have gone top 20 in Juno’s deep house chart, and the EP has gone top 20 too in the EP charts. You can buy the EP here.

Denied Music

We’ve been big fans of US tech-house and techno producer Daniel Allen for ages and his imprint Denied Music. As such, we were delighted to hear that East Recordings label boss Pablo del Monte has a release out on Denied 10th June 2016, which will be available as an exclusive on Traxsource.

We’re gonna let the music do the talking here, but it’s a big EP!

Luca Musto

We caught up with Berlin-based DJ Luca Musto a head of his set at Beans On Toast at the Hoxton Basement on the 6th May. Tickets are available through Resident Advisor.

Luca Musto Tell us about your background.

I started making beats with a hip-hop background back in 2004 recording several artists, bands etc and really started djing as a consequence of that. I experienced a wide range of musical genres in my childhood, which reflects somehow in my journey I guess.

What music have you coming out soon?

My first EP will be released on Feines Tier soon. A collaboration with Florian Rietze was also signed by Kindisch lately.

What is the club scene like in Berlin currently?

Berlin is pretty much a musical melting pot. People are open-minded and you can literally feel the spirit of techno and house everywhere. But it’s changing a lot. Actually, real quality parties are getting rarer.

What do you think of London?

It’s my first time visiting London and I’m really looking forward to feel the vibe. The city has this incredible historical background, which is really appealing to me. I’m exited.

Pablo del Monte EP

Pablo del Monte’s Feel What You Want EP is out now on Maison Records. The lead track is a cover of a little-known house classic by Kristine W, which was also re-worked by Hannah Wants some weeks ago on Toolroom Records. The EP’s four tracks cover a range of contemporary deep and tech-house styles and finds a good home with the aptly-titled Maison (‘house’ in French…get it?) Records, which is the brainchild of Ian Bland (Blandy, Dancing Divas).
