Jensby added to roster

We’re delighted to announce Jensby will be joining our roster as a monthly guest bringing his deep house radio show series Get Down to Brick Lane Radio. Jensby cut his teeth on the progressive house/electro scene with numerous releases on respected labels such as Cr2, has remixed the likes of Zed Bias and played renowned clubs like Pacha.

However, like others before him – Dave Spoon/Shadow Child springs to mind – he has moved towards the deeper end of house in recent times…and hence he will be airing on our Saturday night schedule when we play underground house.

His first show for us will be on Saturday 18th at 8pm (UK time).

Guest DJ 13/6/14: Yaxley

Our guest DJ on Friday is upcoming jackin’ house DJ Yaxley. Already is his short career this London-based DJ has played a mix on Mista Jam’s BBC Radio 1Xtra show and DJed at Bugged Out Weekender and the Wireless Festival alongside his heroes DJ EZ and The Chemical Brothers.

So tune in at 8pm (GMT) to catch his set and watch this space!

Label showcase: Defunked

This weekend sees two label showcases. The first features UK D&B label Defunked. Home to artists such as Aquasky, Razor and DJ Addiction, Defunked has been releasing the more soulful side of D&B for over ten years now.

Neptune has put together a four-part series of shows comprising music solely from Defunked. The first show goes out Sunday 15th June at 6pm (GMT) and you can listen to the following 3 episodes at the same time each Sunday during Neptune’s Bassquake show.

Label showcase: Off Recordings

The second label showcase this weekend features OFF Recordings and its aptly-named younger sibling Off Spring. Anyone with even a passing knowledge of electronic music will know that OFF has been at the forefront of the re-emergence of deep house in recent times. Set up five years ago by DJ/producer and label boss Andre Crom a mere 5 years ago OFF is now up to its 90th release (Vermillion by Sofi de La Torre). During this time we have had classic releases from the likes of the now globally-established Leftwing & Kody, Andre Crom himself and EdOne & Bodden, as well the emergence of new talent such as Chi Thanh and Deux Tigres.

In recognition of OFF’s importance on the underground house music map we asked Pablo del Monte to rummage through the promos we have been sent by OFF and OFF Spring in the last year, and the resulting mix is testament to the quality of the releases from these labels (not to mention some top notch DJing by Pablo).

So tune in at 8PM (GMT) on Saturday 14th June to catch the show.
